Visual Art Studio

Visual Art Studio Visual Art Studio is an artist run contemporary gallery and painting/photography studio featuring cutting edge and mainstream local/national artists.

Painting, Print, Photography, Sculpture and Mixed Media Exhibitiions plus a fine art craft Boutique. Founder/Owner Anne Hart Chay is a painter and photographer who has been creating since early childhood. Her Mom taught art classes and her maternal Grandfather and Dad both had darkrooms. At 7 maybe 8 years old studio classes at the VMFA lead to visits to the Metropolitan then all she ever wanted w

as to have her own art studio. She did just that with her first studio for 3 years in highschool. Then there was VCU, then her studio in a non-profit and now she's on Broad Street in what was an abandoned building she tirelessly renovated. For her contributions to the neighborhood, she earned the nickname Pioneer Anne; for her art, she's known as an artist's artist. Aside from her children one of the other things she's most proud of is her work with other like minded people to develop and promote a successful First Fridays Art Walk and an Arts and Cultural District designation for her neighborhood. When Anne is not in meetings or mentoring emerging artists or bouncing ideas off crazy talented people she's wondering when she'll get more time to paint, get that to do list done, with family and friends or dreaming of visiting Italy again and making it to Greece, Egypt or a Ghost Adventure with Zac, Nick and Aaron!!!

Based on the IBM computer configuration for %RETRY_COUNT% (or just RETRY_COUNT). It specifies the number of times a retry failed before giving a final report. On a human level, we deal with failure throughout life. No matter how many times we try to redo mistakes, get better at something, or capture small victories, defeat is inevitable. Yet we always tell ourselves, “This time it will be different.”

Thanks Adam! Thrilled you love my depth of field image taken with my old Canon of the orange vendor and the lady with the bread basket on her head through the beautiful wrought iron fence in Guatemala. Didn’t have my tripod on me. Think I was walking around with my zoom lens on my SLR. Film is precious so I took only this one image 💖

Thanks .studio for this cool painted keyboard somewhere around that was one of my 💖 Where will it be next?…..

A meditation on the industrialization of the creative spirit. In an era defined by automation and rapid consumption, the human element is increasingly sidelined in favor of mechanical speed and algorithmic ex*****on. This work explores the “Process-Execute-Repeat” cycle, visualizing the human mind as a cybernetic operating system. It is a portrait of the constant struggle to preserve the “flesh and blood” of artistry and expression against a backdrop of digital monotony. It is also the first piece of the series to use monotype printing techniques, signalling a new exploratory direction of the artist’s process. .art
