If you're looking for a dry place to explore, stop by the Pioneer Park Historical Complex. Our 7 museums in 1 offer a great way to spend an hour or two while learning about the history of Wisconsin's Northwoods.

Museum Hours During the Fair:
Friday: 11 AM – 5 PM
Saturday: 11 AM – 5 PM
Sunday: Noon – 4 PM

Reminder: Pioneer Park Historical Complex will be closed Monday, July 27th through Wednesday, July 29th as the park prepares for the Oneida County Fair.

Its FAIR week at Pioneer Park!

Please note an important update from the Oneida County Fair regarding Pioneer Park access during fair setup and teardown.

For everyone's safety, Pioneer Park will be closed to the general public from 8:00am to 3:00pm on the following dates while large equipment is moving throughout the park:

Monday, July 27th
Tuesday, July 28th
Monday, August 3rd

The Pioneer Park Historical Complex will also have special hours during the Oneida County Fair:

Monday, July 27th - Wednesday, July 29th: CLOSED

Thursday, July 30th: 4:00pm – 7:00pm
Friday, July 31st: 11:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday, August 1st: 11:00am – 5:00pm

If you're visiting the fair, be sure to stop in and explore our 7 museums in 1 while you're on the grounds. It's a great way to add a little Northwoods history to your fair experience.

Pioneer Park Historical Complex in Rhinelander, WI is OPEN today!

Sunday, July 26th from 12noon to 4pm. Come explore the history of the Northwoods through our unique 7 museums in 1. From logging and railroads to our historic One Room Schoolhouse, there's something for visitors of every age.

As we prepare for the upcoming Oneida County Fair held in Pioneer Park, please note our upcoming schedule:

Step back in time at Pioneer Park Historical Complex in Rhinelander, Wisconsin!

Visit our historic One Room Schoolhouse and experience what a Northwoods classroom looked like more than a century ago!

The Schoolhouse is just one of seven museums and dozens of exhibits that preserve and share the history of the Northwoods of Wisconsinat at PPHC.

Pioneer Park Historical Complex is OPEN today from 10am to 5pm! Tuesday, July 21st.

Step into the history of the Northwoods of Wisconsin with 7 museums in 1. From logging and railroads to firefighting, education, paper making and more, there's something for every age to discover.

While you're here, don't miss one of our hidden gems, the model railroad display tucked away in the basement of the Railroad Depot Museum. Drop a few quarter dollars into the coin-op and watch the historic trains come to life. It's always a favorite with kids and adults alike! 🚂

PPHC is OPEN today, Saturday, July 18th, 2026, from 10am - 5pm.

Come explore the story of Wisconsin's Northwoods and discover one of the most complete collections of logging and milling history in the country. See authentic logging equipment, lumberjack artifacts, and our antique sawmill that's more than 100 years old!

Pioneer Park Historical Complex is a collection of seven museums in one, featuring exhibits that tell the story of the Northwoods and the entire state of Wisconsin. From logging, railroads, and the CCC to antique boats, fire trucks, schools, and more, there's something for visitors of all ages.

Update: PPHC will be closing for the afternoon at 1:30pm today, Wednesday, July 15th, for the consideration of our staff and visitors due to a combination of heat index, poor air quality, resulting in low visitation. Thank you for understanding.

Pioneer Park Historical Complex is open today. We will be monitoring visitation, the heat, and air quality throughout the day, along with the wellbeing of our staff, to determine whether we may need to close early this afternoon.
