UPDATE: Things are coming right along at Shamble Studio in beautiful downtown Republic, WA! I can hardly recognize the center space, as we have moved the majority of the Makers' Space materials to the backroom, organized most of the glass materials, and begun organizing mosaic materials. I feel like we're going to need to have another grand opening at the end of next week! Progress photos at the end.
I made a couple of fun projects today (RIP Dolly and Noel) ... perhaps avoiding the project that I assigned myself ... One of my favorite customers informed me that this week is the opening game for the Seattle Seahawks and they are playing the Patriots who they evidently won against in the last super bowl. So I thought it would be "fun" to paint one of the football helmet banks to match the Seahawk helmets. Holy heck! That is a complicated logo! And I have to do it TWICE! And they have to MATCH! I made decent progress but I doubt I will get it done before the game since I have weekend plans. But check it out in the photos below.
I'm also including a photo of the stackable cups painted by two of the cutest little girls ever. Stackable cups are a wonderful option for families and smaller spaces.

Make sure to come in and visit MO on Saturday as she will be minding the studio!
And don't forget, we will be closed on Sunday as well as Monday, Tuesday, AND Thursday this week. If you glaze any ceramics this week, your beautiful creations will be available on Friday, the 11th for pick up.

I'm a little late on the kiln reveal ... it's been a heck of a week.
A few positives - other than the five gorgeous pieces last week's guests created 😁:
*I'm excited about our two new artists!
*One of our other most recent artists may be interested in joining the Ferry County Arts nonprofit Board! If you are interested, it meets at 10a.m. on the 3rd Saturday of every month at Shamble.
*I met a lovely couple who had been holding on to a bunch of greenware for years and had nowhere to fire it ... until they found me! There was the cutest frog soap dish and a gorgeously detailed pumpkin. They just brought me a giant hippopotamus and some other items that I'm going to fire to bisque for them this week.
*By the end of next weekend, you are not going to recognize Shamble Studio! I am beyond excited by the changes taking place. The makers' space is moving into the back room, along with the extra classroom and the cozy space near the stage where are all the instruments and the screen will be. The gallery area already looks so much more inviting and will only improve as I continue to find homes for all of the donations and all of the mosaic materials. Thank you all for your patience!

NOTE: The Witch Bowl, Santa Plates, and Cactus Trays were painted by me (and Kelly) and are NOT for sale. They are what one does when UPS busts a bunch of items during delivery. They will serve as samples to give folks ideas. I have multiple unbroken bisque of all of these items as they come from the manufacturer in Boston.

This week at Shamble Studio in beautiful downtown Republic, WA was one of lots of transitions!
First things first we will be having a couple of unforseen closures coming up. We will be OPEN this Friday and Saturday but CLOSED this Sunday (9/6).
We will also be closed at 4pm on the following Wednesday (9/9) and next day (Thursday, 9/10). Many apologies, but it's one of the hazards of being a one woman shop.

Super duper thanks to MO for stepping in last minute to staff the studio for me this Saturday, so that I can still take my planned trip out of town with friends! Love ya, kid!
Back to the fun part! We sold quite a bit of art this week, received several materials donations, and had a few folks come to paint though with the start of the school year, the kiln will be a but sparse this week. Don't forget that during the month of September kids and any adults they bring enjoy 10% off on Fridays!
We welcomed 2 new artists to the gallery and did a little rearranging to the front portion of the studio - in part to make room for 2 new artists and in part to make room for more ceramics!
We now have a healthy supply of Fall/Halloween/Day of the Dead as well as Christmas items available to glaze. I have an entire shelf of toads and toadstools! And I'm super excited about the retro mushroom condiment holders (butter, cream, sugar, salt, pepper, spices).
A couple of other special notes:
Thank you (AGAIN!) Oly for your latest creation, our A-frame sidewalk sign! It's GORGEOUS!
Thank you Elliot for coming in to experiment with my awesome birthday present (courtesy of my awesome mom - Diane) - the Chomp Saw! He made quick work of making the sample 12-sided die and has now moved on to making his own design - arm armor! This handy kid/elder/Lisa-safe saw is AMAZING! THX Oly, Elliot, Ma, MO, artists, art purchasers, and doners!!

Marie is a native artist who works primarily with natural materials such as birch, deer hide, and antler. She is also provided us with rear view mirror hangers and ornaments, including these darling felt owls.
Jacob is a leather worker and we are proud to feature his pouches in the gallery. And today until about 4pm he is at Republic Brewing Company with a table full of his online wares including these magnificent leather book covers!

What's new in ceramics. at Shamble Studio?
When you come into Shamble Studio in beautiful downtown Republic, WA we currently feature ceramics from two sources.
The first is a manufacturer in Boston. I order from them online and receive between 2 and 24 pieces depending on the design. That’s why when you choose something that's on the window, I pull it for you from behind the bar.

Anything that is on the blue wall or the bar or the silver shelves comes from a ceramicist in Chewelah who sells only to shops. She has 15,000 molds and has only had to tell me "No" twice when I've asked her about a special order.
*If you lost half your ceramic chess set, bring in the other half and I'll see if she can match it!
*If you want to complete your set of stuffed ceramic reindeer, let me know what size and we will pour the set.
*Need an Oregon Duck or a full set of 1970s mushroom cream and sugar, etc? We've got you!

PICS: 1-6 New pieces for the window. By special request, I got in a guitar! Given the popularity of our cactus ringholder, I've added a cactus tray. I'm adding just a few fall pieces and have started getting in a very select amount of Christmas items.

ON THE WINDOW:
Fungus Among Us
Tea Party
Cups, Cups, and Specialty Cups
Gnomes for Your Homes
Animal Banks
Transportation Banks
Misc. Banks
You Light Up My Life
Vases and Vessels
Adult Beverages
PARTY ANIMAL COLLECTIONS (WINDOW): ALL $20
Farm
Pets
Ferry County
People
Under the Sea
Zoo
Fantasy
Misc.

NEW GREENWARE (available by 9/2/26. See captions
**I have been asked about lighted Christmas trees and yes, I will be getting some in. If you want one, you should probably plan to order ahead and prepay because I will not be ordering very many as I do not wish to have to store them if they do not sell. I will put up a separate post in September with the tree options available to order.
