The Artist of the Month for August is Tricia Poulos Leonard. Her abstract work is unique and collected by many. But beyond creating her own work, Tricia teaches the techniques she has learned throughout her artistic career. Her classes are sought after and fill up fast, so if you want to learn some of the techniques she uses to create her art, get in one of her classes quickly. We are very proud to have her as one of our resident artists. Be sure to come by the next reception to meet her and ask her about her art.

About The Artist:

As a painter, I find inspiration in the world around me. I employ a personal vocabulary of marks and colors that reflects the natural world. My work varies from representational to abstract, and I am continually moving between the two styles. I tend to work in series, either with the materials I use or the exploration of imagery. Every painting is an experiment to me. My materials, techniques, and interests all direct me to a place that craves a connection to the world we live in.

Our current show is called “The Art of Words,” which will be displayed throughout August. This is a great opportunity to check out Tricia’s abstract artwork in this show, along with the other artwork she has displayed in the gallery. We are open 7 days a week from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
