Dear Members:

Recently many improvements have been made to the Wood House. We have cleaned the home from top to bottom inside and torn down the dangerous newer addition on the rear of the home. The home has been power washed and is in line for a painting. We have moved the Historical Materials downstairs to a room easily accessible for everyone and have added to the collection. We are working on a landscaping plan that we hope to begin this fall. We have received a plaque donated by one of our members that commemorates the Wood House's addition to the National Register. We are working on the submitting Teacherage for that honor and hope to eventually have it on the National Register. With regard to the teacherage we are repaying a loan made by another generous member each month, for the electrical work that had to be completed and updated there.

We have however had one set back in the Wood House. It has been discovered during inspection that we have a live termite infestation. We feel it is imperative to treat and maintain the treatments in order to further preserve this home. We will eventually have to repair damage done by the infestation. We are making payments to our exterminator who has been very generous with us by not charging for the initial inspection and allowing us to make monthly payments. We found the best price and company, in our estimation.

We must continue maintaining both it and the Teacherage and so, we are asking that anyone who has the means or desire to help with this payment please contact us to make arrangements. You can email us with a reply and we will be happy to inform you of the details.

We thank you for your membership,
