I am so excited.

I am beyond excited. A brand new Art Experience brought to you by NASA and Art Your Nite. This has been so hard to keep a secret, but I finally received the go ahead to share. I will be the first artist to instruct how to paint the actual Moon in Space. This is such an amazing opportunity ❤️. I feel so privileged to be asked to do this for the NASA program. I will start my training with NASA next week.
It all started when I received an invitation to a virtual meeting, through a "nasa.gov" email address, At first, I thought it was a scam. It was an invitation to a pilot program, the objective was to select the first artist to design and teach a curriculum on painting the Moon, aimed at inspiring future generations and making space exploration tangible.
The NASA Director of Public Engagement reached out with another email, so I thought we'll, I will call the nu.ber and see if this is legit. Once I found it it was actually the real deal, I started the extensive selection process, wanted to know your philosophy on art, how you perceived the lunar landscape, and your ability to explain complex textures and light. I am so glad that I love studying about astronomy, so I had some great answers to provide them.
Finally, the moment arrived. "Congratulations," from the Director of Public Engagement. She said, "Your ability to see the artistic narrative in our scientific data is exactly what we need. We've chosen you to be the first artist to instruct how to paint the Moon."
Next week, my training with NASA begins, I will be immersed in the lunar environment. I will be put in a simulated spacesuit to understand the constraints of physical movement and perception. I will study topographic maps from the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and analyze the spectral data of lunar rocks. I will spend hours with planetary geologists, learning to discern the history written in every crater and rippled dust field. This isn't just a training, but a deep exploration.
I am learning to read the Moon's surface as a composition before I teach anyone to touch brush to canvas. It's the beginning of an extraordinary new chapter, and I am ready to paint the first stroke. I am excited to share this process with all of you, as I go through this experience and journey.

If you read this much, Wow thanks, JK 😜 April Fools, but would be a super cool opportunity. 😎

Update: I am excited to share, my painting took 1st Place in the Pickle Contest at Dodge County Arts Gallery in Beaver Dam.

The Brine Divine: A Life Distilled
Acrylic, Set of 5- 6"x7" overall 32.5"×9.5" Framed
Here is my new piece that I have been working on, it is a Pickle series for a Pickle Art Contest. I had a lot of fun with this one, and the journey of its creation. I have a lot of thought in time in this and love how it turned out. What's your thoughts 🤔 Pickle Lover or not.

The Story Behind the Series
The Brine Divine: A Life Distilled
A Five-Part Visual Narrative by Sarah B Hill.
What happens when twenty-five years of fine art expertise meets a lifelong devotion to the perfect dill pickle? The Brine Divine is a transformative journey across five panels, capturing the "Ascension" of the humble cucumber into its ultimate form.
This series explores the "A.P." (After Pickle) and "B.P." (Before Pickle) eras of existence, rendered with the dramatic high contrast and "glowing" light of the Old Masters—but with a distinctly modern, spirited twist.
The Five Acts of the Brine:
B. P. Before Pickle: The humble beginning on the vine under a Wisconsin moon.
A. P. The Brining Era: The quiet, shadowy alchemy of salt, garlic, dill, and time.
A. P. The Sacred Cut: The moment of transition where texture and crunch are revealed.
A. P. The Transmutation: Reborn in golden, crispy batter—the ultimate pub-style evolution.
A. P. The Final Ascension: The pinnacle of existence. A towering, balanced Bloody Mary masterpiece, complete with every "relic" of the pickle’s journey.
From the delicate embroidery of a linen napkin to the glint of a gold-rimmed cup, and the thick texture of the whole pickle on the Bloody Mary this series proves that even the most common snack can be a "Life Distilled" into fine art.

The original is staying in my private collection, but "Limited Edition Panoramic Prints" are available. Update on limited prints coming soon and availability. If interested send me your information including email, so I can share with you.
