Readstown Area Historical Society

Readstown Area Historical Society The Readstown Area Historical Society was formally organized on April 25, 2000. The museum was officially opened to the public on September 2, 2006.

Many of the current members of the society were involved in the Readstown Sesquicentennial Committee of 1998. After having sponsored several well-attended events in the village, the group chose not to disband as they had discovered the important role they could play in revitalizing community spirit and instilling a sense of commitment to historic preservation among the village residents. After the

library obtained a larger facility and vacated the municipal building in 2000, the village permitted the RAHS to take over the current room. The support offered by the Village of Readstown is appreciated.
