Good afternoon friend's and fans of the Cucamonga Service Station, Gary and myself (Thom) had a young lady, 17 year old "Kayla" ride up on her Schwinn bicycle and stopped in for a visit, she lives in the area and just Graduated early from Cucamonga High School, but won't have her Graduation Ceremony until the end of the school year... She hasn't made a definite decision about College yet, but thinks she'll go to local area Chaffee College and take a business course and would like to go to Culinary School and some day have here own Restaurant... she seems very ambitious and interested in the history of the Station, as we usually don't have visitors this young asking very direct questions about the Stations history..... before heading home she bought a Route 66 themed apron, and handbag, one of our 100 year anniversary Route 66 patches, and a couple of postcards .....
Thanks for stopping in Kayla, we enjoyed visiting with you.

Hello friend's and fans of the Cucamonga Service Station, late this afternoon we had a visit from Larry Brown from the San Bernardino Sheriff Museum, and with him were Doug, Christian, and Brian with a 1950 Ford Sedan Sheriff's Patrol car with a flathead V/8 engine and restored to be era correct, and a 1976 Chevrolet Nova 4dr Sheriff's Patrol Car with all the current for the day police package equipment including the F41 heavy duty suspension, they came for a photo shoot at the Station and as the day slowly turned to night, we were able to snap some pretty cool pics, and they had their friend and Rancho Cucamonga Resident Matt Lyons and his daughter bring their black 1964 Buick Riviera doning the 401ci Nailhead V/8 under the hood, to participate in a mock pull over with a roof top light bar with red flashing lights and driver controlled spot light on for a more dramatic effect.... I would like to Thank Larry Brown, and Doug Brimmer from the San Bernardino Sheriff Museum along with Christian and Brian for bringing these two significant though very different Law Enforcement Vehicle's from the early 1950's and the mid 1970's and allowing us to share this photo shoot with are Facebook audience... I really like how the 1950 Patrol car and the Station look in black & white...

Hello friend's and fans of the Cucamonga Service Station, although we didn't have many visitors today, I'm sure many were getting in there last minute shopping done.
Early this morning Vince and I (Thom) got to meet local Ontario resident Michelle Thweatt, her Aunt and Uncle have scheduled a trip on Route 66 and she stopped in to pick up some items, like an EZ GUIDE and map that highlight all the key destinations along the way, along with a Route 66 Passport and a handmade Route 66 Bag to put it all in that was made by one of our Station friends. Michelle will present these awesome gifts to them on Christmas day, I'm sure they'll be surprised...
We had Brooklyn, New York resident Chris, who had made 3 different attempts to stop in over the past few years, but we were closed each time, he currently works in South Dakota and was in Pomona to participate in the 2023 Hot Rod Power Tour with his white Dodge Challenger HellCat with a personalized license plate with a Kowalski reference to the early 1970's Iconic Car Movie "Vanishing Point" during his visit I stamped his and his daughter's Passport's, and shared car guy stories....
