QAHS is working on a publication that covers the Quasqueton area's relation to the Civil War. We expect it to include as much information as we can gather about the more than 60 Civil War veterans buried in the Quasqueton Greenwood cemetery as well as other local Civil War veterans who are buried elsewhere. We are especially interested in the members of Company H Iowa Infantry and Company L of the First Iowa Calvary, each of which had more than a dozen Quasquetonians in their ranks. We would greatly appreciate information about, including diaries, letters, and photographs of Civil War veterans with a Quasqueton connection. Comments on Facebook may not reach us, so please contact us via email at [email protected] or via US mail at Box 224, Quasqueton, IA 52326.

Thanksgiving has come and gone, so it is now officially the Christmas holiday season! We have our windows decorated, so please make sure you look closely when you walk by.

Our museum is closed for the season, but we are available if you would like to arrange a time to stop in. We have many unique items for sale that would create lots of interesting holiday conversation.
Hope to see you soon!
