Who is ready for some Monday Morning Memories?!

Whether you have gone to an art school, watch youtube videos and want to try out something you saw while online or you are feeling a lot of emotions and just need an outlet to let those emotions flow through a paint brush. You are welcome here.

Thinking of creating but not sure where to start?

Here are some of our artist's creations to inspire you to see the different mediums you can try for yourself!

If you haven't found your niche, no need to worry, its different for everyone! Some people prefer a simple pencil and eraser, others love to go the clay route. Whether its ink, beads, crayons or a montage of different supplies, the options are by no means limited!

One thing I learned early on about ART-Z was when I didn't know where to start, all I had to do is look around the room. As inspiration literally covered the walls. If you have never been to the Studio, we would love to have you!

Register online to come to one of our Open Studio's on Saturdays and try out those mediums you've always thought about.

Hi Art-Z Family,

It's been a while since we have posted pictures from our Open Studio Saturdays.

So, logically I thought I would throw out some (a lot of) fun photos of our artists and their creations!

Remember inspiration can come from anywhere. A sight, a smell, a memory, a feeling. If you feel inspired, if you feel called to create, DO IT! We often hold so much inside of us, we don't even realize the nagging in our hearts for a release.

Whether it is you gripping a crayon as tight as you can and scribbling all of your emotions out, piling tissue paper, buttons, pompoms and anything else you can find layer upon layer or delicately drawing out what's inside, let the actual medium and means of delivery matter little compared to the expression you are able to lay down.

Remember although life can be demanding, you are worth giving time to the things you enjoy!

Happy Day After Christmas!

(Yes, I meant to post yesterday, and yes for those of you who have met me I did indeed forget -Jade)

I hope that whether this time of year you celebrate or are just blessed with a day, or a few off from school or work that you are making the best of it! This time of year can be hard for many, stressful for most. Sometimes I have to remind myself of those things that I still very much do enjoy, that accompany the hustle and bustle December often brings.

My favorite part of this time of year is the excitement I see for a lot of kids. Therefore, I think now is a good time to post round 1 of the ART-Z swing collection! (Yes, I just made that up as well)

Here's a little collection of what we as creators at ART-Z do when we could use a little break. It may not be the typical work or school break that you are accustomed to.. But every now and then I think we all could use a moment to think, breathe and believe like a child.

Happy Hanukkah, for those who observe this holiday. As it is coming to an end, I wanted to wish those who celebrate a wonderful time with their loved ones!

As children are soon going to be off of school for a week or two and college students are returning for winter break, consider making art together. Art can take so many different forms and like each individual has different talents, hobbies and likes, so can families.

If you are a family that bakes, BAKE! If you like to sing consider a improptu Disney Karaoke night. If you enjoy dance or acting this time of year there are multiple options to attend plays that incorporate both! Whatever it is that you enjoy, I hope you can find the time for it.

I must also note that the holidays are not always filled with the option for family for everyone. Whether due to distance, death, trauma or a multitude of other reasons holidays can be some of the hardest times of the year. If you find yourself in this category, please know you have a home at ART-Z. We will be open to create art together as one!

As we prepare for upcoming holidays, think about those homemade gifts you may have received in the past and how meaningful they were. If I am being honest there's a slight possibility that I am a bit (incredibly) sentimental. I LOVE HOMEMADE GIFTS and HANDWRITTEN LETTERS! If money is tight or you have someone in your life that's a tad sentimental like me consider the touch of a personal homemade gift instead this year.

Holidays can bring an array of emotions all over the spectrum from excitement and joy to sadness or dread. As we have entered into December, regardless of the emotions that are brought up I hope you know that ART-Z is a safe, supportive space for you!
