⚓ EVERY GREAT VOYAGE BEGINS WITH A HORIZON.

For years, the AWI Privateer Museum has taken history on the road—bringing the stories of America’s Revolutionary War privateers to communities, historic sites, festivals, and events.

Now, we’re looking toward something bigger.

Imagine a place along the Delaware River where history doesn’t simply hang on a wall…

Where visitors can walk the grounds, explore exhibits, step aboard a historic vessel, meet interpreters, and experience the sights, sounds, skills, and stories of the people who helped fight a Revolution from the decks of private vessels.

That is the horizon we are sailing toward.

We envision a permanent waterfront home for the AWI Privateer Museum—a place where we can preserve history, expand our educational programs, welcome the public, and build something that can serve generations to come.

But a vision this big takes a crew.

We need dreamers and doers. Sponsors and donors. Volunteers and community partners. We need people who see what this museum could become and want to help us get there.

Maybe you know of a property along the Delaware River.
