Something FA-BOO-LOUS is brewing at the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center! You know we glow for families every spring … but we decided - let’s glow for Halloween too!

We’re excited to announce our next fundraising Paint & Sip happening Thursday, October 22, from 6–8 p.m. at the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center! For the first time ever- we’re turning out the lights and turning up the GLOW! Artist Kelly Porada will instruct our class and make sure everyone has a wickedly amazing painting!

Grab your favorite ghouls, witches, and boos and get ready for an evening filled with painting, sipping, glowing, and plenty of Halloween fun.

*Instructed by Kelly Porada of Kelly’s Arts and Crafts
* Doors open:5:15 p.m.
* Food service begins:5:30 p.m.
* Painting begins:6:00 p.m.

We’ll have a variety of hors d’oeuvres, snacks, and beverages to enjoy—something for every little boo!

Tickets are $45 per person and include all painting supplies, food, and drinks. All proceeds benefit the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center’s educational mission.

Spots are limited, so don’t ghost us—reserve yours today!

Please note that all ticket sales are final. If something spooky comes up and you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to send someone in your place.

We now have our tickets in hand… which means in-person ticket sales start NOW! Tickets can be purchased at the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center during regular business hours Wed.-Sun. 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Ghouls’ Night Out Designer Purse and Cash Bingo event will take place at the Punxsutawney Eagles Club on Saturday, October 17, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The event will benefit the Punxsutawney Weather Discovery Center. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 if available at the door.

Each ticket holder receives one game card for each of the 13 Blingo games, including the final big purse game for $1,000 cash, and a complimentary raffle ticket for a drawing at the end. Only 150 tickets will be sold so be sure to get yours soon.

Doors open at 2:30 p.m. Games begin at 4:00 p.m.
Come early to check in, enjoy the food, get seats with your friends and look at the purses.

Food includes a variety of heavy hors d’oeuvres, sweets, coffee, tea and water. Cash bar is available.
Tickets for raffle games for additional purse prizes, 50/50 games, strip tickets, and a Chinese auction will be available throughout the event.

We know it's still August... but there is no denying that the 'Ber months are quickly approaching, and we are SO excited to announce our newest program, Friendsgiving: Inspired by A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving!

Join us Saturday, November 14 at the Weather Discovery Center for a fun-filled Friendsgiving celebration inspired by A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving!

We’ll discover what the weather was like during the first Thanksgiving and compare it to today’s conditions. Then, we’ll settle in to watch the classic show before enjoying Snoopy’s special feast! A craft and free time on the exhibits is also included.

Seats are limited, and a ticket is required.

Please note: Due to space limitations, this is a drop-off program. Children must be able to stay for the entire program without an adult present.

We are so grateful to be working with our friends at Standard Pennant Co., Inc. for our new exhibit signage. Troy has let his imagination and creativity take the science, folklore, & history and turn it into colorful, interactive, and fun exhibit pieces. Online ticket sales for Ghouls' Night Out Blingo are officially LIVE!
Join us for a frightfully fun evening while supporting the Weather Discovery Center for Ghouls' Night Out Blingo on Saturday October 17 from 4-7 p.m. Door open at 2:30 and food service begins at 3:30 on the second floor of the Punxsutawney Eagles. Games begin promptly at 4!

Your $35 ticket includes:
13 exciting games of Blingo featuring designer purse and cash prizes, a raffle ticket, and hauntingly delicious snacks (no snakes... we promise! 🐍😉)
