On Thursday past we welcomed & enjoyed touring a group of adult students from Huntsville Alabama! They had taken a series of classes at UAH on Native American Studies and decided to further their knowledge of the series by visiting our Trail of Tears Interpretive center here in Giles County. Pamela Sue Keller assisted us in speaking and giving them insight about the statue she and Gail Bergeron sculpted of the Cherokee family that sits on the property’s east side. It was a wonderfully sunny day to walk the grounds and talk about the historic Trail of Tears of the Benge and Bell Routes that wind through our county, explore the art in the tunnel and take a field trip up from neighboring Huntsville-
Thank You All for making Pulaski’s Giles County Trail of Tears your destination! We Love telling folks the history of the this place, the Mars Chapel & Milky Way farm and doing it in the place where over 65 miles of Trail came together and has been called The Crossroads of The Trail of Tears.

Announcing for the next few months due to lack of available Volunteers the Interpretive Center and museum will only be open on Thursdays - please call 931-478-0315 - if you need to book a tour -
Call 24 hours in advance to come any other days besides the day we are open.
We know this is an inconvenience for some who just “stop by” and believe us we hate to deny anyone the chance to see what we have here and hear the Trail of Tears story…….. So call ahead and we can meet you there.
