We’re proud to represent Mark Holme at 346 Gallery in Provincetown—an award-winning animal sculptor who gives life to twisting and bending wire. A native New Englander and graduate of Southeastern Massachusetts University with a BFA in Visual Design, Mark lives in rural Massachusetts with his wife in a 310-year-old farmhouse. From this peaceful setting, he pursues his fine art passions in painting, illustration, sculpting, and exhibit design.
Wildlife and its environment have been constant themes in Mark’s work, but in recent years his fascination has turned to depicting the motion and anatomy of animals in wire sculpture. In his Wild Wire series, he uses 16-gauge industrial wire to “draw” animals in 3D—sometimes from a single piece—capturing the essence of each creature through its motion, key features, and personality. Whether it’s a startled group of deer bounding away or a cheetah in hot pursuit, each sculpture tells a story. Every element, from the dynamic wire forms to the handcrafted base, is made by Mark himself.
Mark’s animals now inhabit his workshop, galleries, and private collections, earning admiration for their elegance, energy, and authenticity. A member of the Society of Animal Artists with over 25 years as a professional in the visual arts, Mark continues to reinvent his style and push the boundaries of his medium.
Visit the new 346 Gallery to experience Mark Holme’s complete collection of breathtaking wire sculptures—you’ll never look at wildlife, or metal, the same way again.
