Julie Heller Gallery celebrates Provincetown, the oldest art colony in the United States.

Gallery owner and art historian Julie Heller has advised private collectors, museums, and visitors for over 30 years. Julie Heller East, our second gallery, is located at 465 Commercial Street directly across from PAAM. Both galleries specialize in historic white line woodblock prints and feature the work of Provincetown Modernist masters, local contemporary artists.

Reclining N**e by Abraham Baylinson - 1929

Born in Moscow, Russia on 6 January 1882, the Baylinson family moved to the United States around 1892. Baylinson studied at the Art Students League of New York the National Academy of Design and the New York School of Art

Baylinson was an instructor of drawing and painting at the Art Students League from 1931 to 1933. In early 1931 a fire destroyed almost twenty years of work related to Baylinson's career.

Rosemarie Antoinette Basile, a longtime Provincetown resident and celebrated artist of local scenes, died peacefully on Sept. 25, 2022 at her home in Orleans. Born on May 10, 1931, she was 91. (source: Provincetown Independent) It is with a heavy heart that we say au revoir, never adieu, to Rose Basile.
