Hip hop is more than music. It is culture, history, storytelling, activism, entrepreneurship, and a powerful force for community connection and change.

The Providence Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is pleased to share an upcoming opportunity to explore the impact of hip hop on society, its influence on art and culture, and its role in shaping generations right here in Rhode Island and beyond hosted by the African American Museum of Rhode Island

We are especially proud to see our Soror, Dr. Melaine Ferdinand-King, serving as a moderator for this important conversation alongside Dr. Christopher West.

Dr. Ferdinand-King continues to elevate community dialogue through her leadership, scholarship, and commitment to preserving and sharing our stories.
