It’s Fossil Friday!
Did you know that Utah has a state dinosaur?
Utah’s state dinosaur is Utahraptor ostrommaysi, a sickle-clawed dromaeosaurid that would have been walking around during the Cretaceous.
Utahraptor, meaning “Utah’s predator” is also one of the oldest and largest dromaeosaurids in the fossil record, and can be seen upon walking into our museum!
