Coffee Club x PUAM SAB x Princeton Sketchbook

Step into Monet’s garden for an evening of watercolor painting, inspired drinks, and good company.

The Student Advisory Board of the Princeton University Art Museum is partnering with Coffee Club Late Nights and Princeton Sketchbook for a paint-and-sip night drawing inspiration from the Impressionist paintings by Claude Monet from the Art Museum’s collections. Pick up a brush and paint your own floral still life in watercolor while sipping from a custom drink curated around the colors and botanical elements of Monet’s beloved landscapes.
All levels are welcome. Join SAB members to learn more about Art Museum’s collections, upcoming programming, and opportunities for students.

Laporte Family Creativity Lab, Princeton University Art Museum

The Student Advisory Board of the Princeton University Art Museum and the Princeton African Students Association invite you to a hands-on textile workshop in advance of the Sankofa 2026 Fashion Show. Join us in the Art Museum’s Creativity Lab (located near the east entrance) to explore fabric, texture, and design through collage. Participants will create wearable or functional pieces—such as tote bags or upcycled denim—using a range of African and diasporic textiles inspired by the designers featured in this year’s show.

Drawing on themes of Sankofa—reflection, redefining oneself, and creative expression—this workshop offers a space to experiment with materials, engage with artistic traditions, and build excitement for the runway event. Participants are encouraged to bring their own denim garments or thrifted items to customize.

Selected pieces may be worn or showcased at the Sankofa 2026 Fashion Show on Saturday, April 11, at 7 p.m. in the Art Museum’s Grand Hall.

This event is free and open to all PU students regardless of identity. All materials will be provided while supplies last.

Cosponsored by the African Students Association Sankofa Board and the Student Advisory Board of the Princeton University Art Museum.

Embark on a journey of artistic discovery at the annual Art Museum student gala. We’re commemorating the start of your Museum’s exciting next era with student performances, art making, gallery explorations, delicious treats to eat and drink, and more! Organized by the Student Advisory Board of the Princeton University Art Museum.

GALLERY ACTIVITY AND RAFFLE
Travel through the Art Museum’s galleries to encounter art from around the globe. Take a photo (no flash, please) of each object featured on the map provided for your travel photo album. Once you have snapped a pic of each artwork, head down to the Information Desk to show off your photos and be entered in a raffle to win Art Museum swag. Safe travels and enjoy the journey!

Raffle winners will be announced at 8:45 p.m. in the Grand Hall. Participants must be present to win.

Applications are now open for the Princeton University Art Museum Student Advisory Board!

The Student Advisory Board (SAB) is a group of Princeton University students dedicated to creating inclusive and welcoming experiences for the undergraduate student community and fostering lively participation in the larger Princeton arts community. Popular events hosted by the SAB include art-making programs, artist talks, alumni networking, and the Student Gala. Students are encouraged to attend this year’s Student Gala on Thursday, December 4, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. prior to applying.

Application details are linked in Instagram bio. Apply by Sunday, December 7 at 11:59 p.m. Undergraduate students in the classes of 2027, 2028, and 2029 are welcome to apply.
