With the election of new officers, our information for touring our buildings has changed. You may contact Jeff Higginbotham at 573-631-6836; Fred Manning at 573-218-4189; Jim Richeson at 573-854-1758; or Vicki Trokey at 573-747-6695. In contacting any of these people, an appointment can be set up for touring. We need at least a 30 minute notification and preferably 1 day or more notification. These are volunteers and touring is subject to their availability.

Mine au Breton Historical Society held their monthly meeting in March and new officers were elected. President is Jeff Higginbotham, VP is Fred Manning, Secretary is Michele Hensley, Treasurer is Vicki Trokey. We also have elected board members for 3 year service. They are Marina Madsen and David Sansegraw.

Mine au breton historical society sponsors the New Masonic Cemetery with Wreaths across America..
The 2 for 1 sale ends today.. $17 will purchase 2 wreaths for Veterans in this Cemetery for 2026. If you have Veteran family or friends buried here, please sponsor a Veteran. You can go on line...just make sure you go to sponsor first, then it will bring up Cemetery, so they get credit for wreaths...thank you

The Lucas House at Heritage Park.

Some of the activities at the Heritage Park this Saturday the 14th is, of course, the bread; music by Audrey Neel in our pavilion, music on the porch and tours of the Casey Cabin, tours in the afternoon of the Lucas House from 1-4, and a special presentation of a couple of skits from the camping Civil War group at the park. See attached flyer regarding the skits they will be doing and the times. Hope to see you there.

This is a program that will be going on at Heritage Park on Saturday the 14th during the Heritage Festival. It is an interesting skit and well worth the trip to the park. DON'T MISS IT.

Our Heritage Festival is this Saturday. We are still looking for a few volunteers to help man a couple of our buildings from 1 to 4 pm. If you are interested, please contact me at 573-747-6695 by Friday. Thanks. We also will be making our bread this year at $5 per loaf, one per customer, must be over 16.

CORRECTION
The dates for our festival are Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. The previous post showed dates in May. OUR FESTIVAL IS ALWAYS ON FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND, JUNE 13 AND 14 IN 2025.

We will be having our Heritage Festival, also known as the Moses Austin Festival, on June 16 and 17. Friday the 16th is an evening event, car show. Saturday the 17th will be a ceremony at the courthouse lawn at 9 am, parade at 10 am, ribbon cutting for the new city amphitheater at 11 am and the pageant at noon. We will have the bread oven open and running all day from 7 am till 4 pm. We have loaves ready about every 50 minutes at $5 loaf. Our buildings will be open from 1 - 4 pm, Banta House, Lucas Store and the Church Museum. The Casey Cabin will be open all day. Come visit us, we would love to see you.
