ELDON JAMES WRIGHT

Eldon passed away suddenly on December 23, 2010 in Oroville.

A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate Eldon's life will be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Oroville. Following the service a Graveside Committal Service with Military Honors will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oroville.

OSBORN Edward J., 80, passed away June 22, 2000 in Okla. City, OK. He was born May 26, 1920 in Millville, AR to Rufus J. and Georgie Osborn. He was the Mayor of Valley Brook, OK, served in the Army during WWII, and was a member of the VFW Post #1857. He was preceded in death by his wife Maybeline Osborn, grandson Michael Dean Choate, and great-grandson Eddie Choate. He is survived by two daughters, Jackie Choate of OKC, and Linda Fonderen of Sulphur, OK; a sister, Delois Schoolfield of Alex, OK; two brothers, Paul Osborn of Newcastle, OK and Hank Osborn of Ossian, IN; three grandchildren, Ronald Fonderen of Sulphur, OK, Richard A. Choate of New Orleans, LA, Bryan Choate of Flower Mound, TX; five great grandchildren, Kristin, Preston, Sidney, Lindsay, and David. Services will be held Monday, June 26, 2000 at 10:00 A.M. at the Camille Ave. Baptist Church of Valley Brook with Rev. Paul Salyer officiating. Interment will be at Erin Springs Cemetery near Lindsay, OK.

Ted was born in the Camp Hill community of Anderson Co, TX to Louis Fonda Barton and Mary Lizzie Camp Barton.

OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Wednesday, 21 February 2001:
Ted Barton
Services for Ted Barton, 85, of Palestine, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Herrington/Land of Memory Chapel in Palestine with Dr. Steven Holcomb officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Elkhart.
Mr. Barton died Tuesday at his residence.
He was born Oct. 18, 1915, in Anderson County to Fonda and Mary L. Camp Barton.
Mr. Barton was a carpenter and contractor. He was a Baptist and a lifetime member of VFW Post 3907 and a disabled veteran. He served 18 years in the Armed Forces. He jo8ined the cavalry in 1940 at Bracketville and was transferred to mechanized cavalry in World War II at First Lieutenant Motors Officers. He served in Asiatic Pacific and on Bogainville in Americal Division at Fort Richardson in 42nd Engineers after the war ended.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Mr. Barton is survived by sons, Donald Barton of Fort Worth and Dennis Barton of Palestine; daughters, Susan Russell of Colmesneil and Barbara Pollack of Fort Worth; sister, Saline Goforth of Palesitne; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be members of the VFW.

JOHN FRANKLIN HELMS, JR. John Franklin Helms, Jr. went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 4, 2006. He was born to John and Hattie Helms in Agawam, Oklahoma, on February 5, 1917, the third of five children. During WWII, John proudly served his country in the south PacifiC. He was a member of Company I 23rd Quartermaster.

Ernest Lee Wilson, 90, of Blanchard, died November 7, 2012, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. The son of Anna Mae (Fisher) and Charles Vivian Wilson, he was born March 5, 1922 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. Ernest owned and operated the Texaco in Blanchard for many years and later worked as a heavy equipment oiler. He was Baptist in faith, enjoyed working in his garden and loved being around people and telling stories about his military service. His greatest love and joy was his family, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Oleta Wilson; one son, Charley “Lynn” Wilson; two sisters, Polly Heitman and Betty Lovelace; and two brothers, Ed Wilson and Chester Wilson.
