Artist Bio:
Maine-based artist Carson Jackson is a self-taught contemporary abstract artist known for combining mixed media and found objects to challenge conventional interpretation. Guided by curiosity, his work explores the interplay of darkness, light, and life's resilience. As the son of a Cuban refugee, Jackson’s background spans global travels from Ogunquit, Maine to Central America, Norway, and the Outer Banks. His prior careers as a creative director and in life-saving healthcare bring distinct emotional depth and perspective to his canvases. Working out of Portsmouth, NH and Portland, ME, his paintings resonate across coastal New England and beyond.
