"St. Johns Art Project"
2025
Over 13,000 pieces.
Cylindrical, 69" tall, 15" wide.

This LEGO tower started at a dinner gathering, then was added to and completed at the St. Johns Art Walk in August and the St' Johns Fall Fling in September. It is currently on display inside the iQ Credit Union at 8191 N Lombard St Suite 102, Portland, Oregon.

The goal was to bring the community together, finding shared connections, while building something amazing. Over 150 individuals, young and old, participated in building this structure.

Had a great time on Saturday, August 2, directing a community LEGO build with folks that came to the St. Johns Art Walk. About 100 people added their own artistic design, in increments of 25 bricks. ..
We didn't quite finish the planned design as the 5 hour event wasn't quite long enough. The plan is to finish the build at a community event in September, then likely the tower will be displayed somewhere locally.

I am experimenting with a modified ring structure, which may allow me to build tall towers in multiple, smaller sections (for ease of transportation). The modified ring would act as a sort of "coupler" to make assembly and disassembly more successful.
