The Long Island Explorium encourages visitors to explore and play together in our hands-on interactive maker space rich with science/ STEM based exhibits and activities. While our focus is children ages 2-12 and their caregivers, we welcome visitors of all ages. The Long Island Explorium was launched in 2004 as “The Children’s Maritime Museum at Port Jefferson” (CMM) by a group of local residents seeking a family-friendly educational experience.

🎶 Cocktails, dinner, music, and an evening in support of the Long Island Explorium

Every experience at the Explorium begins with a question, an experiment, or a child discovering that they can build, create, investigate, and imagine something new.

Rhythm of Discovery helps make those moments possible.

Whether you join us for the evening, support the Gala as a sponsor, or make a philanthropic contribution, your participation helps the Long Island Explorium continue creating meaningful STEM experiences for children and families in our community.

We would be honored to have you be part of this special evening.
