This weekend is going to be so much fun in Port Deposit! Not only are we going to be open during the Pirate Takeover (September 19th and 20th), but the Artisans' Shoppe at the Gerry House will also be hosting our next Drum Circle. Please join us on Saturday, on our front porch, located at 18 South Main Street, at 3:30 p.m.. This is a family friendly event for all ages. No experience is necessary. You may bring your own drum or percussion instrument, or are welcome to use ours.

Remember, "If you have a heartbeat, you have rhythm, and if you have rhythm, you can drum."

We hope to see you at Community Connecting Us and the Town of Port Deposit's Port Deposit Pirate Takeover !

In case you didn't know, we have been on the planning committee of the Port Deposit Pirate Takeover since it started. When our friends at Community Connecting Us had a community meeting, one of the Skullduggery Crew suggested pirates and we didn't know what that meant, but said count us in!

This is an awesome family event that is free admission with a pirate encampment, mermaids in a tank, a performance stage with a variety of acts, free kids games and a merchants row with lots of awesome artesian vendors.

We will be there volunteering all day both days and hopefully will catch you around.

The Artisans' Shoppe at The Gerry House will be closed today to celebrate a dear friend's wedding. We will be open tomorrow as scheduled. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Shawn has been busy as a bee and our spring honey is now on the shelves at the Artisians' Shoppe at the Gerry House!

We had a good harvest this year and the honey is "white" to "extra white" on the USDA color scale. This is the lightest colored honey that we've produced, from our hives in Port Deposit, in the four years since we started keeping bees. The color of the honey is dependent on the flowers the bees are foraging, which explains why the spring harvest is lighter than the fall harvest. It is not only good for you, but soooo wonderfully delicious!
