Introducing the “1-2-5” Exhibit”
Beginning September 11th, our Phase 1 Hall will be filled with original artwork from our member artists,
with one very simple twist:
Every piece is $125.
No more. No less.

The idea behind the 1-2-5 Exhibit is simple: original art should be something everyone can enjoy — and collecting it doesn’t have to begin with a big budget.

Maybe you’ve always admired original art but never considered yourself an “art collector.” This could be the perfect place to start.
Maybe you’re already a collector and love discovering a little treasure you simply can’t leave behind.
Or maybe you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind gift, something special for your home, or a piece of Port Aransas creativity to take with you.

Whatever brings you through our doors, we hope the 1-2-5 Exhibit makes discovering and owning original art just a little more fun.

And here’s another twist: as artwork sells, our artists can bring in new pieces to replace it. That means the exhibit can continue to change throughout its nearly three-month run — so you never know what you might find on your next visit!

THE 1-2-5 EXHIBIT
September 11 – December 7, 2026
Port Aransas Art Center – Phase 1 Hall

At the Port Aransas Art Center, we strive to make art welcoming and accessible to everyone — from longtime collectors to someone choosing their very first original piece.

Come take a look. You just might leave an art collector. ❤️

Featuring ‘TEXAS FIESTA’ PLUMERIA, which even in this heat is a "party animal!" Blooming easily & consistently, it produces clusters of medium pink blossoms with yellow/orange centers. The 3” wide flowers have a sweet spicy fragrance. Best known as the Hawaiian lei flower, plumeria actually are native to the Caribbean & Tropical Americas from Brazil into Southern Mexico. They can take heat & short periods of dry weather, but bloom best with extra water. Peak flowering here is July-September. In November, they're dug up to winter bareroot in protective greenhouses. ‘Texas Fiesta’ is 1 of 80-plus plumeria varieties displayed & curated by the Plumeria Society of South Texas in the Plumeria Garden. It's definitely worth a trip right now! Thank you to those dedicated volunteers! ☀️
