Tonight, the Childrenās Museum of Pooler was honored to serve families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire.
Families from Brunswick, Jesup, Tennessee, and beyond joined us to create Bravery Bead Bracelets. Some chose to make a bracelet with their childās name on it to keep them close as they navigate a health journey in the hospital, while others chose words of encouragement like STRENGTH as a reminder during the hard days. The Museum staff also created STEM Shape Bags for younger children in the hospital to explore shapes using beads and pipe cleaners.
Because even when a child is sick, learning, play, and creativity still matter. A medical journey may change their routine, but it doesnāt change their need to explore, learn, create, and simply be a kid.
This is at the heart of what we do at CMOPācreating opportunities for hands-on learning, connection, and community and making them accessible to families. Sometimes that means welcoming families through our doors, and sometimes it means bringing the Museum to them, right where they are.
Thank you, Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire, for welcoming us and allowing us to be a small part of supporting these special families along their journeys. š Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire
