New Display:
These 2 uniforms were worn by former Ponchatoula resident "Dutch" Battle.
Dutch was a Vietnam Era Navy Veteran and the only person from Ponchatoula to serve on the USS Ponchatoula.
They were donated by the Battle family years ago. We have the honor of being part of the USS Ponchatoula Memorial and honoring ALL who served in our military and the many many heroes who died for our country.

We had a blast hosting Santa Claus at our Museum after the Christmas Tree Lighting!!
The weather was perfect, the crowd large and festive, and Santa was the hit of the night from our front porch!! It was SO MUCH FUN for everyone and we LOVED seeing smiles and hearing laughter from young and old alike as kids waited their turn to see Santa.
We want to thank the City of Ponchatoula for decorating our Museum and the Ponchatoula Chamber for organizing and hosting the Event.
We can't wait until next year!!!

It is with a heavy heart that we must tell everyone that Mrs. Delores Caro passed away. She was an outstanding person who also happened to be a great employee. She will be missed by her family and friends, as well as our museum where she worked with joy and love. She had a passion for her job at Collinswood and it showed every minute she was there. She will be missed. We ask that everyone pray for her family and friends and God give us all comfort, strength and peace as only HE can.

10/24/2022

Our prayers for Mrs. Delores are working! She has been moved to a regular room at North Oaks, but still has a long way to go. Please continue to pray for her for a full recovery, for the doctors and staff treating her and for her family. Thank you all!!

10/21/2022

We are asking everyone to please pray for one of our workers, Mrs, Delores Caro, who is in ICU at North Oaks. Please pray for her and her family and the doctors and staff treating her. We know that prayer works and pray for healing and comfort and peace for her family.
