On this Memorial Day, we honor a brave member of the army branch of armed forces. How blessed we are to live in a country where we honor those who have died in service to their country. Take some time to remember and honor the sacrifices of those who have helped create freedom for you and me. Today’s hero is a man who received a purple heart as well as a medal of honor for his sacrifice and bravery. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom only 20 years ago. Do we remember?

The next time you visit Flathead lake, take a minute to remember the sailors who have served on her waves. Today, we remember Captain NA Palmer, who served in not one, or TWO, but THREE wars. He was a true patriot.
At the Miracle of America Museum in Polson, a recent donation was an old flag with only 45 stars. Add in the comments below which state was the 45th added to our Union! The flag, incredibly, has the words ‘Cap N A Palmer written in ink along the hoist end! We have a permanent display for Cap Palmer in our military section. Come and see daily from 9-5

Have you heard of the heroes called the minutemen? They were men and women in the town militias when America was only a dream and we were still British colonies. These brave patriots could be ready at a minute’s notice to join the battle for independence! At the Miracle of America Museum, we have several artifacts like the ones used in the revolutionary war, including bullet molds for musket balls, flintlock rifles and pistols, fife and drums, and powder horns!

For more information, you can research the Prudence Wright Guard or come to the museum and check out our artifacts. We have come a long way as a country thanks to the strength of those who served during this war for independence. To all of these heroes, thank you! 🙏
