Doug Mishler in today’s lecture told of Capone’s brief but bloody story which was a flamboyant slice of American history, as Al dominated the social & cultural narrative of Chicago and the nation during prohibition. Capone always maintained that he was not really a criminal, he was just a businessman who supplied the booze Americans wanted during the roaring 20’s.

Lucille Ball live at the Firehouse!

Historian and actress Leslie Goddard brought Lucille to life, paying tribute to both the true comic legend and the real woman behind the myth. ​In the 1950’s and 60’s , comedienne Lucille Ball captured the hearts of television audiences across the nation with her wacky hijinks and fearless enthusiasm. Off-screen, she and her real-life husband Desi Arnaz launched their own television studio. Leslie Goddard demonstrated what it meant when a TV star’s onscreen legend clashed with her offscreen reality.

Get ready for spine-tingling stories and haunted history—Ghost Walk 2025 is back! Join us for one of Pleasanton's most popular fall traditions, happening on:

🗓️ October 10, 11, 17 & 18

🕕 Tours depart every 30 minutes from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

This family-friendly 2-hour walking tour through downtown Pleasanton features costumed guides sharing eerie tales from the city’s past. Tours begin at the Museum on Main, 603 Main Street.

Adults: $25
Children (12 & under): $20

Spots fill fast, so don’t wait—buy your tickets now!

Costumes welcome. Tour runs rain or shine. Some locations include stairs—please plan accordingly. Arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in and collect tickets.
