Newest addition to my series of Art Birdhouses is this Picasso! Each side is a recreation of one of Picasso's bird paintings! When I find discarded birdhouses, I repaint them in an artist's style. I have been doing some watercolor painting the last few weeks. All are 7-1/2 x 9 on 140 # cold press paper. After experiencing some big losses recently, painting has been healing and takes my mind away from some dark places.

To make framing more affordable, we glean from Goodwill. Doug found this long narrow frame and cut a board to fit so that I could paint the Honeysuckles growing iwild n our yard. Acrylic on 4x12 matte board.

Other than paint class samples, I don't paint the same subject twice. I figure it takes away from the originality of the first painting. THIS is the exception. Six years ago, I painted from the same source photograph, and it was sold. Doug encouraged me to do it again. So, this is "Wild Sunflower: Redux". Acrylic on 11x14 stretched canvas.
