For sale: 2014 Honda Accord 2.5 SL with 133,000 miles. It's a 4-cylinder in perfect condition, asking for $3,000. Clean title and runs well. I'm selling it because I bought a new car and need the space. Down payment is allowed to hold the car. It runs and drives perfectly and has a new headliner, battery, hitch, and wiring in place. Everything works perfectly, and it's a heavy-duty, stable, and solid car. It has no major issues, no leaks, no engine check light or warnings.

Michigan-based America Studios has entered the pre-production phase of the film based on Dr. Joy Demarse's novel "Nine Days a Soldier". The novel presents the story of the Plattsburgh Academy school-boy volunteers known as the Aiken Volunteers who fought during the Battles at Plattsburgh in 1814. America Studios is crowd funding and will produce a 'film short' in September. In my opinion, our community of Plattsburgh should donate, as they can, to support this effort to promote our collective history.

Help Launch America Studios
Hello Friends,

John Grooters here with a request for help. We’ve been making great movies and media here at Grooters.us for almost 20 years now, and we have a new project that I’d like to share with you. It’s a film called 9 Days a Soldier, under the umbrella of a new studio called America Studios.

Hollywood is rewriting America’s history.
You can help preserve the truth!

Principles that have been bedrock in America for more than 200 years are on the brink of extinction.

The self-evident rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, along with our Bill of Rights are under new attacks from new challengers.

You may be surprised to know that this is not the first time these principles have been seriously threatened. Our Constitution, our Bill of Rights, the ideals set forth in the Declaration of Independence – all these would have been torn up and thrown away had America lost the War of 1812. America would have lost that war, and ultimately lost our entire system of government, if not for a single battle – the Battle at Plattsburg on 9/11 of 1814.

America Studios
Telling the Great Stories

America Studios is going to flip the playing field and create entertainment filled with uplifting stories about what makes America the greatest country in the history of the world. We will tell true stories that will inspire and illuminate the fabric of our society.

America Studios' first film will tell the true story of how a group of schoolboys from the Plattsburg Academy chose not to evacuate as they were instructed – instead they took up arms and defended their homes, their town, and their country. They were young – only 14, 15 and 16 years old. 9 Days a Soldier relives the incredible story of when Hiram Walworth and his friends were formed into “Aiken’s Volunteer Rifle Company.” They fought, they made a difference, and one of the boys paid the ultimate price.

See AmericaStudios.com to learn more of what we have planned.

Next Steps

We will soon approach investment partners with our plans to produce 9 Days a Soldier. Toward that end, we're producing a teaser and other media assets that will demonstrate the look, the feel and the quality of the the America Studios brand. We are scheduled to shoot one, intense scene from 9 Days a Soldier in September.

We have found some great locations (see above pics), we are casting the actors including an incredible talent from Los Angeles named Caleb Milby, star of a new award winning film called Treasure Lies, and we will shoot on a brand new Arri Alexa LF Mini – which is probably the hottest camera in cinema today. We have a full crew on stand by to put together the lights, costumes, and gear we need.

We need to raise a bit of capital to produce this scene, and while we're at it we want to spread to the word about America Studios plans. If you can contribute financially, please do so on our America Studios - Telling the Great Stories Indigogo Campaign Page, and share the link with others who share our passion for telling stories that will preserve the truth.

I've reached out to you because you have already, in one way or another, expressed an interest in joining our team. There is a list of cool rewards for various levels of contributions on the crowdfunding page. Every contributor will be among the first to see the scene as soon as it’s shot, cut, colored, and sweetened.

God Bless You,

John Grooters

P.S. Yesterday we received a matching grant of 25K from a wonderful friend in Colorado! Please help us raise the other 25, which will bring us to success in this campaign for Phase I. There are fun perks for each level of contribution, and every contributor will be among the first to see the scene as soon as it’s shot, cut, colored, and sweetened.

The Battle of Plattsburgh Association is pleased to announce that local author, Dr. Joy A. Demarse, has signed a film license option agreement with Grooters Productions and America Studios of Holland, Michigan for the rights to produce a film based on her young adult novel “Nine Days a Soldier”. The book, published in 2013, recounts the true story of Aiken’s Rifle Company, the teen-age soldiers who fought as part of General Alexander Macomb’s American forces during the siege and land battle at Plattsburgh in 1814. Under the watchful eyes of their sponsors: Essex County Militia Capt. Martin Aiken and Lt. Azariah Flagg of the Clinton County Militia (and publisher of the local Plattsburgh newspaper, the Plattsburgh Republican), the boys were lauded by General Macomb for their usefulness and bravery, promising each a rifle as a “reward for their gallant and meritorious conduct”. By Congressional Resolution in 1826, each of the surviving members of Aiken’s Rifle Company was awarded a personalized Hall Model 1824 breech-loading rifle.
Grooters Productions has written a screenplay based on Dr. Demarse’s book and is currently raising funds for production. Grooters Productions has been producing award-winning feature films over 18 years; their most recent is “Tortured for Christ” based on the best selling book of the same title.
