The academic year is inching closer, which means our gallery doors will be open to the public again soon. Join us as we welcome artist and UW-Platteville alumna Donna Van Bogaert to Nohr Gallery for our first exhibit of the 2026-2027 academic year in “The Fiber Art of Donna Van Bogaert: Weaving Together Voice and Process.”
This exhibit includes a collection of braided rugs created through a unique weaving process inspired by knotting, knitting, and basket weaving techniques. Each piece’s reclaimed materials and color pallets tell stories themselves as each are made from reclaimed materials and deconstructed garments married through color pallets taken from the artist’s own works. The complete display will include a variety of woven rugs and their inspirational pieces.
Our gallery doors open again on Tuesday, September 8. Mark your calendars for an artist reception on Thursday, September 17 from 3–4:30 p.m.
