If you are available on September 14, come to the foxhunting historical presentation and beforehand meet Blueskin outside the First Christian Church. I named her after the favorite mount of a reasonably famous American who also lived and loved foxhunting. Blue, will be tacked up in the traditional foxhunting manner (you know, sissy English saddle, etc.). Here she is several years ago standing near what we call the Tree of Patience...for with some virtues one is born...while others must be learned. See you there!! Rob
Saturday June 1st 10:00am to 3:00pm is a FREE Family Event. The Shoal Creek re-enactors will bring the village to life with skits throughout the day. The year will be 1866 with the James Gang roaming around the town and looking for trouble. ShoalCreekLivingHistoryMuseum.com

Hi, I'm not sure if anyone can answer my question but I'm at my wits end on this. My husbands g g grandfather was Samuel Munsell, he was born in Platte county in 1836, I can find no records of his mom and dad, the family story is that they both died in a flood in Platte county in June of 1844, Samuel and his brother William went to live with the Jonathon Mitchell family. just checking if anyone knows anything about this family?
