Join us this Saturday, January 17th, 2026, beginning at 5:00pm (or 4:00pm for the Telescopes 101 workshop) at the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) ICR Discovery Center for our first Day4 Astronomy meeting of 2026!

This month we will discuss the details of the soon coming launch of NASA's crewed mission back to the Moon!

Also, if you have ever been "gifted" a star from one of those star registries, we will show you the tools, methods, and helpful hints on how to find that elusive star!

Every month at a Day4 Astronomy meeting is different from the others! Share this to your friends and family and join us each month as we "Show How the Heavens Declare the Glory of God!"

"DARK SKIES OF WEST TEXAS" &
"FLY ME TO THE MOONS"
JOIN US this Saturday, September 20th, for our next DAY4 ASTRONOMY meeting!! This month's guest speakers are Fred Franke and Sonny James with the Telescopes 101 workshop being led by Armin Bernhardt.

Fred will be talking about the various aspects of dark sky observing in his presentation "Dark Skies of West Texas". Fred is a newer amateur astronomer, but he has already begun diving into the deep end of the astronomer's pool, quickly becoming an expert in many ways. Fred will take us on his journey as an amateur Christian astronomer, give us tips from his own experiences, teach us about different aspects of dark sky observing, and share about his recent trip to a large observatory in West Texas.

Sonny, one of our younger members and future leaders of Day4 Astronomy, discusses the many moons in our solar system in his presentation "Fly Me to the Moons". Sonny gave a detailed presentation of our own moon last year and will now teach us about many of the other moons in our solar system. And Sonny loves giving out prizes too!

Join Armin Bernhardt for this month's Telescopes 101 workshop at 4:00pm in the Founder's Hall. Whether or not you own your own telescope, Armin will teach you the basics of a good telescope system and show you what to avoid when looking for one. Both beginner and intermediate users can get a lot out of this workshop.

DAY4 ASTRONOMY & STAR PARTY *****
Join us this Saturday, June 21st, 2025, beginning at 5:00pm for our next Day4 Astronomy meeting at the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) Discovery Center! The meeting is FREE and REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED!

MEETING
This month's special guest speaker is Dr. Gary Frazier of Discovery Missions. Dr. Frazier is a highly sought-after, well known author, speaker, and Biblical expert. He has traveled to Israel close to 200 times throughout his life leading and teaching people about its rich Biblical history, archaeology, and significance to past & current events around the world!

With the current situation in Israel and Iran, this could not be a better time to hear from an expert like Dr. Frazier!! And with all the news about recent potential alien sitings, he will also talk about what they might be and the Biblical view on them.

James Worrell will give his presentation on the Constellation of the Month and Parker Eng will give his Astronomy Talk (both only if time permitting).

STAR WATCH PARTY
Skies permitting, we will bring out the telescopes at dark for everyone to look skyward! This Saturday is the longest daylight day of the year so it's gonna be a late one!

If you have a telescope or binoculars, bring them. If not, just bring yourself and your friends and family! Star Parties are always a treat no matter what we happen to point the telescopes at.

10AM - 5PM - ICR Discovery Center Open for visitors
(tickets required for the Discovery Center Exhibit Hall and Planetarium Shows)

5:00pm - Day4 Astronomy monthly meeting starts
6:30/45pm - Day4 Astronomy meeting ends
7:00pm - Dinner at In & Out Burger (near NW corner of Royal & MacArthur)
