🌱 Every child who walks through the gates of the Farmstead becomes part of our story.
For some, it’s their first time feeding a chicken, seeing a flock of sheep, climbing onto a tractor, or meeting Poncho—the Mammoth Jack Donkey they’ll never forget. 🐔🐑🚜🫏

And something special happens at the Farm: they want to come back.

Years later, those same children return with children of their own. Some even become volunteers, helping us create those unforgettable experiences for the next generation.

That’s how we educate Our Future—one child, one experience, and one visit to the Farm at a time. ❤️

As an official Blue Star Museum, Heritage Farmstead Museum has been honored to offer free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families throughout the summer.

This special offer ends this weekend, so we invite military families to visit the farm, make memories, and enjoy one last chance to take advantage of this benefit before Labor Day.

Looking for a fun, hands-on outdoor adventure for your little one? Join us for Little Farmer Friday at Heritage Farmstead Museum! Designed specifically for preschoolers (ages 2–5) and their grown-ups, each event features a story, a themed craft, animal visits, wagon rides, and plenty of room to play across our 4.5-acre farm. 🚜✨

Mark your calendars for our upcoming fall dates:
🤠 Rodeo on the Farm – Friday, September 25th
🌾 Fall Harvest – Friday, October 23rd

⏰ Time: Gates open at 10:00 AM (Stations open 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM; stay and pack a picnic until 2:00 PM!)

Due to concrete being poured on Pitman Drive today, access to our parking lot will be limited and unavailable at times. As a result, the Heritage Farmstead Museum will be closed today, August 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The summer heat is sticking around, so plan your visit like a pro: arrive when our gates open at 10 a.m., feed the chickens, hop on a wagon ride, and then cool off with a tour of the historic Wilson House.
