Aurora County Historical Society

Aurora County Historical Society ACHS Museums consist of six buildings that exhibit objects, written & oral histories, land descriptions, and a document library.

As a tribute to our hardy Pioneers, who in 1879 and thereafter braved the elements and established homes, schools, and businesses in Aurora County, the Aurora County Historical Society was formed on February 25, 1974. Through the dedication of it's volunteers, these buildings and the artifacts contained within were brought together to form the Aurora County Historical Museum.
