The HMRRC is a non-profit orginization consisting of over 30 members. We own and operate an HO scale freelanced 2000 square foot layout, modeling many Northeast Railroads from various era's. The HMRRC is located at 97 Martin Street in the (Hudson Section) of Plains Twp, Pennsylvania. The Club Hosts its Annual Winter Open House each year, which usually runs from the Last Weekend in November to the First Weekend in January.The club meets every Wednesday Night between 7:00 p.m and 10:00 p.m.

The work at the Hudson diamond nears completion! With track work check (double and triple checked possibly), ballasting, track painting and reintroduction of scenery has brought the scene back to life. Come see this project plus some on-going work at the stone quarry this summer, Saturday June 27 and Sunday, June 28 from 12 to 4 pm for our Semiquincentennial Celebration (or 250th)!

While this announcement is a little early, we want to cordially invite you to be out guests at our summer Open House, Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 from 12-4 pm both days. We will be celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States focusing on the red, white and blue of the 1976 Bicentennial era and introducing some new scenes on the layout. Stay tuned for future reminders and we look forward to seeing you there!

Diamonds are a........train clubs best friend? As we continue to follow the progress of the track redesign and relaying at Hudson Yard, a new arrangement goes in place. What's known as a diamond where two tracks cross over each other, sometimes two separate railroads or two lines of the same railroad going in opposing directions. Either way, we see the diamond has been put in place to allow smooth flow between our branchline and mainline tracks. Stay tuned for more on this project and others that have commenced recently.

While we stay at home safe and sound and encourage you to do the same, we would like to share our current project. Changing track is a part of the real railroads and it's no different in the model railroad world. The switches between our Swift meat facility and the far end of our Hudson Yard are being replaced and a new track arrangement is being added. More photos to come but here's an in process teaser.

Throughout our Open House season, we have had many different locomotives operating. Here is a sampling of some different power to run making an interesting study in styling.
