Historic preservation in progress! You may have noticed that our historic Laundry & Machine Shop is getting a fresh coat of paint while we take advantage of these beautiful early October temperatures. Protecting the exterior shell of the 20+ historic buildings under our stewardship care is one of the most important interventions we can take to protect the integrity of the building and objects within - and fresh paint does a lot to aid in that care!

We are so grateful for the many contributors who raised their paddle to make a donation to our historic restoration fund this past Summer Gala to make this work possible.

With sincere gratitude to our painting partners, staff team, and our donors for helping make this critical work come together. As they say, “It takes a Village!”🙏

Last weekend we gathered under the shadow of our 200 year-old Round Stone Barn in the most beautiful demonstration of collaboration across our Shaker-inspired creative community.

Cheers to the team at Block Shop Textiles for the beauty they brought to the table scape and vibe for the whole evening. To Chef David Israelow and the fourcornerschatham team for the most amazing seasonal meal. To Berkshire C***r Project and Dare Bottleshop & Provisions for the perfectly poured pairings. To Benny, Conor, and Wanda for setting just the right tone. To The B Magazine • Berkshires for such great company. And the amazing Hancock Shaker Village team and friends for sharing in such a beautiful illustration of inspiration.

This is the magic of working in communion, with community ❤️

What a night! We welcomed community together to enjoy some local bites and brews under the timber frame, while the sun set and moon rose over the Round Stone Barn 🍻

Big thanks to Hot Plate Brewing Co. for the tasting suite of flavors and some education on b**r-making, b**r-tasting, and your perspective on brewing. And thanks to Just Kickin It Bar B Que for the delicious spread 🙌
