One of our four panelists, Erin Mallea is a multidisciplinary artist and Assistant Professor at Penn State. Her solo exhibition, “Permissible Dose,” which will open at Carlow in April, delves into the sensory experiences of living near industrial pollution. From a local perspective, she advocates for social and racial justice, using art to spark empathy and action. She emphasizes that sustainability and climate change are not just global concerns, but also urgent local challenges needing community-driven solutions.

The Experience Growth exhibit is on view in the student gallery space located on the 1st floor of the University of Commons! It features the work and artistic growth of Carlow's undergraduate art seniors, graduate students, and other students! Their artwork will be on display until May 5th.

Today is the last day of Women’s History Month! To celebrate here are some pictures from a previous exhibit at the art gallery, The Anthropology of Motherhood: Culture of Care. It featured so many amazing women artists and, similar to Eternal Repair, focused on an aspect of care.
