We're saddened to hear of artist and arts advocate Rodgers "Rod" Allen Frantz's passing. A Pittsburgh native, he was a part of our advisory board from 1999-2004. Frantz was the vocalist and lyricist of the band Urban Verbs out of Washington D.C. in the 1970s and 1980s and a public art supporter who "believed deeply that art belonged not only in museums and galleries, but also in public spaces where it could inspire, connect and strengthen communities."
