Gotta say I’m making really good use of that ol Robsjohn-Gibbings Widdicomb bleached mahogany table lately. It came in handy on a few recent projects. Might as well put it to use.

These chairs were designed by Walter Dorwin Teague Associates for the landmark interior design commission project for the United States Air Force campus in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1958. The campus buildings were designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.

References: I. Alcoa Design Forecast book 1959 page 21 discusses Teague’s Air Force project. II. Interiors Magazine July 1959 page 45 Thonet advertisement showing chairs in Officers’ Club of United States Air Force Academy.
