Billed as a roadside attraction located in Swissvale Pa., Trundle Manor is one of the few "wunderkammers" in existence on the east coast, and perhaps in the whole country. This fascinating residential artist house is created and curated by Mr.Arm and his lovely wife, Velda Von Minx. Featured on Boingboing.net, Odd places I've Seen, MTV Extreme Cribs, and Roadside America.

We’ve got some exciting news…

As we continue planning our investigation of Trundle Manor next year, located in Pittsburgh, Pa, we’ve already found ourselves diving headfirst into its fascinating history. The more we research, the more incredible stories we uncover…and the more intrigued we become.

Now we want to hear from you.

Have you ever visited Trundle Manor? Did you experience anything you couldn’t explain? Maybe you’ve heard a story, had an encounter, or know a piece of its history that isn’t widely known.

Drop your experiences in the comments or send us a message. We’d love to hear your stories as we prepare for what promises to be one of our most unique investigations yet.

Who knows…your experience might even help shape our investigation.

Second surprise package we’ve received this week! It seems they’re a company that makes (honestly really quality) plastic skull shakers and Aztec death whistle style whistles that you can get custom printing on. We can’t afford their minimums for a bulk order now but it was such a lovely surprise we wanted to pass it along! More info in comments. Can’t complain about surprise liquor and skulls showing up!

It’s where we got married 10 years ago!

Andrew Carnegie built his first public library not in Pittsburgh, not in New York, not in any great American city. He built it in Braddock, Pennsylvania, for the steelworkers of the Edgar Thomson Works.
The Braddock Carnegie Library opened in 1889 and was the first of what would eventually become 2,509 Carnegie libraries built worldwide. It came with a pool, a music hall, and a gymnasium, because Carnegie believed a library was not just books but a complete institution for working people who deserved more than their shift could give them.
The men who built Carnegie's steel fortune walked up those steps after twelve hour shifts and read.
The library is still standing on Library Street in Braddock. It has survived everything the town around it has been through.
Go visit it. It is the beginning of something that changed the world.
Tag someone who knows the first Carnegie library is in Braddock.

For those not following Hans Rickheit, start! His comics and art make me feel like it's the beginning of my wild collecting days all over again. His fantastic combination of wild mechanics and body horror always make me sqwee! Check him out some time, he's Manor approved.
