Make it an art weekend!
Artworks & Their Makers: A Public Presentation
Sunday, February 9 at 1–2:30pm
Location: John A. Hermann, Jr Memorial Art Museum
318 Lincoln Ave., Bellevue, PA 15202

This Sunday, February 9, join the O’Brien Art Foundation and guest speakers for a trio of presentations highlighting the works of three female artists currently on view in New Vantages of American Art: An Introduction to the O’Brien Art Foundation. By discussing the significance of these objects and their creators—Aaronel deRoy Gruber, Dorothy Dehner, and Sally Cook—the Foundation aims to uphold its mission of celebrating underexamined artists and lesser-known narratives of 20th century American Art.

Speakers include Brittany Reilly, Executive Director of The Irving and Aaron deRoy Gruber Foundation; Alex J. Taylor, Associate Professor at University of Pittsburgh’s Department of History of Art and Architecture; and Hannah Turpin, Director of Collections & Exhibitions at the O’Brien Art Foundation.

Doors will open at 1pm and the program will begin at 1:30pm. There will be 40 minutes of presentations followed by Q&A. The museum will remain open until 4pm. Complimentary light bites from Black Radish Kitchen, along with coffee, tea, wine, and seltzers will be served.
