A launch lasts only a few moments, but the experience can change how a young person sees their future.
Pennsylvania students from Pittsburgh and Lancaster recently joined Moonshot Museum at Kennedy Space Center to witness the launch of NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope and learn about the people, skills, and careers behind the mission.
Through the Roman Space Telescope Student Ambassador experience, students explored Kennedy Space Center, engaged with aerospace professionals, and led workshops for fifth-grade students at the Boys & Girls Club in Kissimmee. Now that they are home, they will continue sharing what they learned with young people across Pennsylvania—including a presentation at Moonshot Museum’s Third Annual Junior Space Conference on October 28.
