Our exhibit Visions of the PostNatural in collaboration with the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History will remain on display in Ann Arbor until Fall 2025. The show includes postnatural specimens from our collection and the UMMNH, as well as 16 large-scale 3D photographs. Check it out if you are in town!

We take a lot about the significance of the collar as it relates to PostNatural history. An asymmetric shift in the interspecies relationship. Usually we talk about reproductive control, or harnessing of labor. And then there is the “cone of shame”: A collar with a new topology that has more to do with care, medical intervention, and behavioral control. The cones suck. But holy smokes! Inflatable donut for a tiny dog? Yes please.

Michigan/Ann Arbor people! I will be giving a talk Friday Oct 25th during the the opening of "Visions of the Postnatural" at the UM Museum of Natural History. The exhibition includes my large-scale 3D photographs, specimens from the Center for PostNatural History, and specimens on loan from the University of Michigan. On show until Fall 2025.
