UNITED Mural Fest Artist Spotlight:
James Kitchens aka FREEMAN will be working his magic in the letter "D" of our mural. He is a local artist with over 30 years of experience
in creative fields. He is a former boxer and multi-faceted artist creating in a
variety of mediums including tattoos, graffiti, murals, mixed media, airbrush and
traditional paintings. Freeman was a featured mural artist at the Valspar Golf
Championship in 2022. His work has been displayed throughout the Tampa Bay
area including venues like the Straz Center and The Studio@620. The artist was
also chosen to paint during both street murals (BLM and Black History Matters)
at the Carter G. Woodson Museum in 2020 and 2023.
“The aim of my art is to represent not the outer appearance of things but their inward significance."
