Pico Rivera Historical Museum

Good afternoon! We have received many many requests and messages about the museum and when (or if) it will reopen...

We can finally share that volunteers are working to help re-open the museum which has been closed for several years. The artifacts and collection was passed from the former historical society (that sadly disbanded) to the City of Pico Rivera - Government.

It is now under management of the Parks & Recreation department, however due to limited volunteers there is no set timeline of a re-opening date (as of yet).

The volunteers wanted to let everyone know that they are working hard to clean and restore the train depot and update their signage and collections so that they may be on display for the community to enjoy once again 🙂

Please stay tuned to this page and we will update you as we get news from the city and museum volunteers of an opening date that we can share with you.

Sent via Ana Delgado: Good afternoon we are trying to see to get the handball courts from Pico Rivera Rio Hondo park as a historical we are in the process with LA county as these handball courts are from the 1970s there one of 3 of the originals still standing here in Los Angeles County
