As a paranormal investigator I now define our mission as a dual pursuit: uncovering the unexplained while actively working to save and preserve historic locations. This shift transforms ghost hunting into a tool for historical preservation, where investigations serve as fundraisers or educational platforms to keep aging landmarks from being demolished or forgotten.

I am an advocate to preserving historic locations. I started AZ Ghost Tours to offer paranormal fundraising events to the public. Proceeds from our events are donated to the locations we help.

I asked Google AI "Paranormal investigation with a TV ghost hunter guarantees paranormal activity?" I' thought you'd like the answer.

No paranormal investigation TV show can "guarantee" paranormal activity because real investigations are often slow and uneventful, with activity usually manufactured or exaggerated for television drama through editing, staged events, dramatic music, and selective use of equipment readings (like EMF spikes from mundane sources) to create compelling content, making many shows misleading, even if some teams believe in the phenomena they capture.

Why TV Shows Appear Active
• Editing & Pacing: Long periods of silence and waiting are cut, leaving only dramatic moments.
• Staging & Suggestion: Investigators might move objects, whisper, or use "trigger objects" to provoke responses, then interpret them as paranormal.
• Misinterpreting Tech: EMF meters, thermal cameras, and audio recorders can pick up normal environmental fluctuations, dust, or bugs, which are presented as spirit evidence.
• Sound Design: Music, sound effects, and dramatic voiceovers build tension and suggest a presence where none is confirmed.
• Scripting & Drama: Personal conflicts and exaggerated reactions are added to make the show more entertaining.
What Real Investigations Are Like
• Long & Boring: Most of the time is spent in the dark, waiting, with little happening.
• Scientific Approach (Sometimes): Some teams try to use scientific methods, but tech isn't always reliable for proof.
• Subjectivity: Evidence like orb photos or EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena) can often be explained by natural causes.
Key Takeaway: While some TV shows aim to show paranormal activity and may feature genuinely active locations, the dramatic presentation, equipment interpretation, and pacing are designed for entertainment, meaning you won't find a true "guarantee" of ghosts, only a guarantee of a TV show.
