Quite possibly our favorite part of the current show, these are Jake and Matt’s micro-chipped monkey heads. Each head is cast in plaster and uniquely sports it’s own piece of repurposed motherboard. These catacomb-like assemblages are a motif for the evolution of humankind; we’ve embraced and evolved with tech over the past few decades but at the end of the day we’re all still primates. Fossils from the Future by @jakesociety and @mattautieri runs until 3/29!

We excited to announce our next exhibition, Fossils from the Future! Opening Njght 2/23 6-9pm. The first ever joint show, ‘Fossils for the Future’ by artists Jake Dombroski and Matt Autieri features a collection of multidisciplinary reliquaries from nonexistent, yet familiar pasts set in a seemingly unreal future. At the heart of ‘Fossils for the Future’ lies a meditation on the playful evolution of ancient technologies juxtaposed with recently bygone technologies. Through their mixed-media works, viewers are transported to a space wherein yesterday’s cutting edge innovations, and culture defining revelations, become tomorrow’s defunct fossils.
