BSA Film Friday 02.14.20 Special Feature: “Who is TAKI183?”

"So much of this history is lost already, mostly because our art institutions and universities have been ignorant and adamantly so about the importance of graffiti in the language of society and its evolution as the most democratic global art movement ever. Videos like this one by Mr. Prigoff and Cedric Godin act to preserve and archive the images and voices of those at the forefront of a movement that influenced so many other parts of global culture." Had the pleasure of meeting an OG yesterday!
I am not a real facebook person so you will have to respond so I will know this is real.

I am KASSANOVA KING of DELTA PHI SOUL. I left my name downtown in subway tunnels and on buses.

One night when 3 of us were on the corner, you tell me where the cops the caught us writing our names then I will know this is Cornbread.

What was the name of your best friend back in the day?

I'll wait . .. ...

Hello Mr. McCray, I am a filmmaker from Sweden and we are doing a documantary about Graffiti. We would love to interview you for the movie. Pls contact us.

Best wishes

I'd rather own a Cornbread with a crown than a Picasso. You were one of the sweet mysteries of life growing up in Philly in the 60s. I worked all over the city and outside of God, Cornbread was the only other anything Everywhere in Philly and then some.
Hey! Check out the painting I made for the world's first writer :)
Most respect from Brasil to philli, peace mr. corn!!
